薛岳,1896年12月27日出生于广东韶关市乐昌县九峰镇小坪石村,是一位在中国历史上有着重要影响力的将领。他的名字常常与抗战中的重大胜利相联系,被誉为“三次挡住日军步伐的名将”。
早年经历

In 1914, he joined the Kuomintang (KMT) and was assigned to command a regiment in Yunnan Province. In 1920, he led a force of several thousand soldiers to capture more than twenty counties in Fujian Province from warlord Chen Jiongming.
During the Northern Expedition of 1926-1928, Xue served under Chiang Kai-shek's National Revolutionary Army (NRA). He played a key role in several battles against warlords and communist forces.

Xue Yue's military career spanned over four decades during which he held various high-ranking positions within different armies. His most notable achievements include leading troops to victory against Japanese forces during World War II.
