只当了三天秦王的秦孝文王,有哪些功绩吗?在秦朝走向统一的历史中,有很多の秦国国君,今天我们要说的就是秦孝文王。 Qin Xiaowen was a somewhat special Qin king in the history of Qin Dynasty, as he only reigned for three days. This time is indeed very short, but his posthumous title is beautiful. We know that only when a monarch has done many beneficial things during their lifetime will they have a beautiful posthumous title. What were the achievements of Qin Xiaowen, who only reigned for three days?
Qin Xiaowen was born with the surname Ying and the clan name Zhao, and his name was Zhu. He was the second son of King Zhaoxiang of Qin and the mother Tang Taohou, who came from another country. After birth, he was always favored by his parents and eventually became the heir to the throne.
However, King Zhaoxiang gradually realized that his eldest son Prince Jing might not be suitable as an heir due to his cowardice and incompetence. Therefore, he decided to appoint Prince Zhu (Qin Xiaowen) as crown prince instead. At this point in time, Prince Zhu was young but wise and had exceptional talents.
When King Zhaoxiang suddenly passed away after reigning for 56 years at age 56 (BCE 251), Crown Prince Zhu ascended to become King Xiaowen immediately after completing one year of mourning period on behalf of his father's memory.
In just three days before passing away at age 53 (BCE 250), King Xiaowen issued decrees: general amnesty for all criminals; honoring previous kings' meritorious officials; generously rewarding relatives within royal lineage; opening up gardens for public enjoyment—leaving behind an image worthy enough to be compared with previous rulers through wisdom governance
The Chancellor Cai Ze believed that although King Xiaowen did not leave any actual accomplishments during his reign because it lasted so briefly but still performed benevolent acts such as granting pardons across China without punishment nor seeking revenge against those wronged by past rulers or those involved in wrongdoing while taking care about family members' happiness which indicates virtuous leadership capabilities much like former ruler thus suggested giving him posthumous title "Xiaoyuan" which means 'respected' or 'noble'. The majority opinion among high-ranking officials disagreed strongly against naming him "Xiaoyuan", arguing that since "Yuan" denotes respectability & nobility whereas both Confucius & Laozi taught people should live modestly yet do righteously thus no need emphasize honorifics over actions taken towards citizens - henceforth changed recommendation back downgraded recommending calling him "Zhiyuan" ('wise noble') instead!
