But all good things must come to an end. In 202 BCE, Emperor Qin Shi Huang unified China under his rule, establishing a centralized bureaucracy that would last for centuries to come. This marked the beginning of the end for Song Nation as an independent entity.
As more time passed by, smaller states like Song were gradually incorporated into larger administrative units within Han's empire until they were no longer recognizable as separate entities at all.
